Concert in Celebration of Her Majesty The Queen’s Platinum Jubilee
This event brought together a showcase of the many talents of the members of the following ensembles: Hampshire County Youth Orchestra, Hampshire County Youth Band, Hampshire County Youth Wind Ensemble, Hampshire County Youth Jazz Orchestra, Hampshire County Youth and Training Choirs.
The evening opened with The National Anthem played by trumpets, cornets and trombones from Hampshire County Youth Orchestra, Hampshire County Youth Band and Hampshire County Youth Wind Ensemble.
Hampshire County Youth Orchestra closed the first half of the concert with Paul Hindemith’s Symphonic Metamorphosis on Themes by Weber, conducted by Carl Clausen.
The evening opened with a Massed Ensemble playing Coronation March: Crown Imperial by William Walton, arr. David Stone, conducted by Connor Lyster
