HCYO have had links with the Liebigschule in Giessen for over 20 years. Winchester and Giessen are twinned towns and regular music exchanges have taken place over the years. The Liebigschule is an 11 to 19 school and has a thriving and very active music department.
The last time we visited Germany was in 2018 and at the time we started planning for a joint project based around the German composer Hiller and his friend and colleague Mendelssohn. Covid put an end to our plans and we are now preparing to resurrect our exciting project together again!
The trip will run from 11th to 14th February, 2023.
