• Christmas busking at John Lewis, Southampton •

On Saturday 2nd December we spent the afternoon at John Lewis, West Quay, playing Christmas carols to John Lewis’ customers.

As a result of the musicians hard work and brilliant music making, we collected £283.42, which can now be gift aided under HMRC’s Gift Aid Small Donations Scheme increasing the donations by 25%.

Every single busker worked extremely hard. We hope your lips and fingers have recovered after a nights rest! The Friends are proud of how the orchestra performed and behaved yesterday and wish to say a massive thank you for giving up your afternoon to help the Friends of HCYO raise money.

The kids seemed to gain the most pleasure from performing Santa Claus Is Coming To Town whilst being conducted my the man himself!

Thank you to the parents for dropping the children off, the musicians and to the parents who stayed to help collect donations and hand out leaflets.
