• Gift aid & higher rate tax payers •

The Friends of the Hampshire County Youth Orchestra rely upon the kind donations from parents, ex-members and many other supporters to help us raise funds to support the residential training at Bryanston, overseas tours and local concerts.  UK tax payers can maximise their contributions by completing a Gift Aid declaration which enables the Friends to claim a further 25% from HM Revenue & Customs.

Higher rate taxpayers

If you pay tax at the higher or additional rate, you can claim the difference between the rate you pay and basic rate on your donation.

You donate £100 to charity – the charity claim Gift Aid to make your donation £125. You pay 40% tax so you can personally claim back £25.00 (£125 x 20%).

Only a small percentage of people who give to FHCYO have signed up for Gift Aid.  To help us benefit, please complete a Gift Aid form and email to treasurer.fhcyo@gmail.com

We can also claim Gift Aid from our bucket collections at concerts and busking!
